Archives Awareness Week 2015

The City of Thunder Bay Archives is celebrating Archives Awareness Week 2015 with a focus on records showing changes to our City's infrastructure over time.

On April 9 and 10, 2015, we will be holding behind-the-scenes tours for the public between 10 am and 3 pm. Everyone can visit, look at the documents on display (including blueprints, maps, and photographs showing the development of water treatment and transit systems) and see our newly renovated storage facilities.

The event also features a guest speaker on April 9 at 11 am. Mike Vogrig of the City's Engineering Division will be discussing the importance of records in current work to manage and maintain the City's infrastructure.

Leading up to this event, we have been posting aerial photos of familiar (and changed) landscapes on Facebook, inviting Thunder Bay citizens to figure out what it is they're looking at.
