Crime Prevention Council

The Thunder Bay Crime Prevention Council provides advice to City Council on the development of an inclusive and dynamic Safety and Crime Prevention Plan and contributes to its implementation. The Crime Prevention Council will engage the community in the task of preventing crime, increasing safety and fostering the well-being of everyone in Thunder Bay.

City Council is seeking two citizen and two youth representatives for four-year terms that expire on Nov. 30, 2014. Candidates with diverse backgrounds and interest in crime prevention are encouraged to apply. The two citizen candidates must be at least 18 years of age, electors and residents of Thunder Bay, and must maintain residency throughout the appointment. 

  • The two youth candidates must be between 16 to 24 years of age at the time of appointment, and maintain residency throughout the appointment.
