Community & Emergency Services
Community & Emergency Services enriches our community's quality of life for citizens of all ages by providing a balance of social, health, cultural, recreation and sports services and facilities, and fire and emergency services, in a cost effective, fair and accessible manner. The department plans, manages and delivers a variety of Recreation & Culture programs, Tourism activities, three public golf courses, and seniors services including the operation of Homes for the Aged and 55+ Centres.
The Department has seven Divisions and oversees Waterfront Development:
