Tax Bills, Due Dates & Penalties

The interim bill is typically mailed in February with two instalment due dates in March and May.

The final bill is typically mailed in July with two instalment due dates in August and October.

If the property you own is newly constructed or modified, a supplementary tax bill will be issued when the assessment information is received. Assessment information and corresponding tax bills can be for the current and up to the previous two years. Payment may be due in one instalment.

If you do not have your bill for any reason, please contact us to obtain a copy. Where payment is not made because the bill was not received, penalties will not be cancelled. To avoid penalty, all payments, including those by mail, must be received by the due dates. A bill reprint fee will be charged if a duplicate bill is requested.

The current penalty/interest rate of 1.25% per month will be charged on unpaid taxes on the first day of default, and the first day of each following month that default continues on the tax balance overdue.

The current NSF cheque fee is $40.00.
