Energy & Support Services

Energy & Support Services is a division of the Facilities & Fleet Department, responsible for efficient and effective management of the Financial and Administrative services for the Department. The division also manages cost allocation systems for asset and energy management for the Corporation, and support services for other divisions within the Department.

Highlights

The Energy & Support Services Division:

  • Co-ordinates the annual Capital & Operating budget and in-year reporting process
  • Provides payroll and accounting services for the Department
  • Manages Corporate Energy (hydro, natural gas, gasoline, diesel) and Water Management including budgeting, monitoring, tracking and billing verification to support the conservation and wise use of energy and water within Corporate Facilities and Operations
  • Manages Transit administrative processes including pass sales and administration, Information Technology systems planning and management, and co-ordination of the Video Surveillance Program
  • Responds to over 7,000 calls annually to assist Transit riders
  • Prepares, maintains and annually reviews agreements such as service level agreements to address costs and risk exposure for the Corporation effectively
