Accounting & Budgets Division
The Accounting & Budgets Division is responsible for the payment of goods and services to City suppliers and contractors, banking, accounting and financial functions for the City of Thunder Bay.

- Co-ordination and preparation of the Corporation's Capital and Operating Budgets
- Status reporting/variance control
- Banking for the general and all reserve and trust fund accounts
- Accounting for Municipal Departments and Enterprise
- Investment of short-term funds
- Input and maintenance of Financial Information Systems
- Debt analysis, studies and record keeping
- Subsidy applications for various federal and provincial grant programs
- Ontario Home Renewal Program - accounting and administration
- Accounts payable cheque processing
- Goods and Service Tax and Provincial Sales Tax processing
- Report on remuneration of expenses paid to members of City Council and Council appointees to local boards and other bodies
- Employee Suggestion Program
