Infrastructure & Operations

The Infrastructure & Operations Department is responsible for the planning, operation and maintenance of the transportation and works infrastructure, and parks, in the City of Thunder Bay. This includes roads and bridges, street lighting, traffic control, water supply, water distribution, waste reduction and recycling, garbage collection and disposal, sewage collection, sewage treatment, drainage, park operation and maintenance, and administrative functions.

The Infrastructure & Operations Department has five divisions. The Central Support Division administers the school crossing guard system.
