Life Enrichment Student - Grandview Lodge

GENERAL DUTIES:
Assist Recreation and Restorative Care staff with activity programs, such as:
- portering seniors to and from events
- participating in games, quizzes, bingo, walks outside, visiting, large group socials and small group reading, church services, baking, games, etc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- must be highly motivated, work well in a team environment
- must be outgoing and confident to work and plan with others
- must be able to work with minimal supervision
- must have the ability to self-motivate when training and orientation is complete
- must be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner; good customer services skills an asset
- must be physically fit (i.e. lift or carry a specific weight; standing/walking on a constant basis; squatting/kneeling on a frequent basis; pushing wheelchairs required
- must have a genuine interest in working with seniors
- must undergo a “two-step” Mantoux TB skin test
