POSITION TITLE:

Process Engineer
(Relates to engineering, environment technician, construction management, or lawyer)

DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Transportation & Works/Environment Division
SUPERVISOR: Carl Goodwin
LOCATION: Bare Point Water Treatment Plant, Lakeshore Drive
PREFERRED TIME OF DAY: Morning

The major project for the Co-Op student would be development of education tool kits for tours and school visits

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Assuring water quality
  • System analysis
  • Problem solving
  • Research
  • Education tool kits for tours and school visits
  • Report presentation
  • multiple engineering discipline activities
  • liaison activities with operations
  • developing system operating protocols,
  • assist with plant operations and public relations

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • must be highly motivated, work well in a team environment
  • must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • must be proficient in the use of computers and current related software, (Word, Excel, etc.)

Dress for office work and activities within the water plant. Safety shoes required.
