High School Student Coop Placement Program

Learning Through Experience

At the City of Thunder Bay, there are many opportunities for students to enhance their skills. The co-operative student placement program allows students to explore and work in various fields, providing them with experience in the workforce as they make decisions about their educational career paths.

Who is eligible?

The co-op student placement program is open to senior high school students and provides an opportunity for students to extend their classroom learning to supervised placements in the City while earning their co-op credits. 

If students are interested in applying for positions, they should:

  • Speak to their co-operative education teacher
  • Discuss their areas of interest and abilities to ensure an appropriate placement
  • Complete a City of Thunder Bay Co-op Student Placement Program application form 
  • Application Deadline: Friday, February 10, 2017 @ 4:30 pm.
