How to Apply

Applying for a job at the City of Thunder Bay has never been easier! The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay uses iCIMS as their job posting & applicant tracking system. You can now apply for City jobs online.

Application Process

Visit www.thunderbay.ca/jobs to apply today.

  1. Click on a job posting that interests you.
  2. Click on “Apply for this Job Online.”
  3. Create Candidate Profile Online

If you are a new candidate using the City’s online system, you will need to create a Candidate Profile.  Creating a profile allows you to store your resume and cover letter. The profile itself is not considered an application. You must complete the full online application for each position that is of interest to you.  Fill out the pre-screening questionnaire and submit a resume and cover letter online.

Existing Candidates

If you have already created a profile, you may simply login to begin your application for a vacant position. View the follow brochure. 

 

Hardcopy applications will no longer be accepted after October 1, 2017.

No Access to a Computer?  No problem

A computer kiosk is available in the Human Resources & Corporate Safety Division’s lobby.

We have also partnered with the Thunder Bay Public Library (TBPL).  The TBPL has public computers available that applicants can use to apply.
