Stay Informed
The City strives to reach its citizens and provide information on services, issues and events through a variety of sources.
The City of Thunder Bay is governed by an elected Council of 13 members: the Mayor and 12 Councillors who serve for a four-year term. City Council and Committee of the Whole meetings are held each Monday and open to the public. The meetings are now videostreamed live and archived, and air on Shaw TV Cable 10, Mondays at 6:30 pm.
Voice your opinion through public open houses, online polls, surveys and more.
View the online listings of Committees & Boards, or for more information, contact the Office of the City Clerk at 625-2230.
A variety of opportunities exist for people who want to contribute to a team environment that continues to make a difference to others throughout the community.
See current volunteer opportunties and application forms and read the Thunder Bay Code for Volunteer Involvement.
