Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is a state-of-the-art acute care facility serving the healthcare needs of people living in Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.

St. Joseph’s Care Group

St. Joseph's Care Group provides programs and services in complex care and rehabilitation, long-term care, supportive housing, and, mental health and addictions to people in the Districts of Thunder Bay and Kenora-Rainy River. SJCG includes: St. Joseph's Hospital (Corporate Office), Balmoral Centre, Behavioural Sciences Centre, Diabetes Health Thunder Bay, Hogarth Riverview Manor, Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Sister Margaret Smith Centre, St. Joseph's Health Centre and St. Joseph's Heritage.

Thunder Bay District Health Unit

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit responds to the public health needs of communities across the District by providing health information and prevention-related clinical services to people of all ages, advocating for healthy public policy, investigating reportable diseases and upholding regulations that apply to public health. The Health Unit delivers many mandatory programs from the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Hospice Northwest

Hospice Northwest assists people, and families, living with a life-limiting or chronic illness through patient support programs, grief and bereavement support, a Palliative Care Support Program and a resource library.

Community Care Access Centre

The CCAC is a provincially-funded organization that arranges and authorizes health and personal support services in peoples' homes, services for special needs children in schools, manages admissions to long-term care facilities and provides information and referrals to the public about other community agencies and services. Programs and services are available to people of all ages that are residents of the Northwestern Ontario.

North West Local Health Integration Network

The North West LHIN is responsible for planning, integrating and funding many local health services, including hospitals, the Community Care Access Centre, community health centres, long-term care homes, community support service agencies and community mental health and addiction services.

Thunder Bay Physician Recruitment and Retention Council

The Thunder Bay Physician Recruitment and Retention Council is a partnership of community, medical, government and academic institutions with a mission to recruit and retain the right number and mix of physicians and health care professionals for Thunder Bay and the communities that we serve.
