New Call Centre to Hold Career Fair in Thunder Bay

March 19, 2010 - On-Line Support (OLS), a Canadian based Contact Centre outsource provider with operations throughout Canada, will be holding a Career Fair at the former StarTek site in VictoriaVille Mall on March 29, 30 and 31.

“Based on the success we have had in Pembroke and Timmins, OLS is excited about the potential expansion into Thunder Bay and is looking forward to the Career Fair,” said Ross Beattie, OLS President & CEO. “We have been in the Contact Centre business for over 14 years, and have a great history of success and community involvement.”

The Career Fair will be open to current and former StarTek employees, as well as the general public. The company is looking for 200-300 employees for an inbound customer care program with a partial bi-lingual requirement.

“This is a great opportunity for our City,” said Mayor Lynn Peterson. “Thunder Bay offers superior resources, services, facilities and infrastructure to companies looking to expand here.”

Beattie added that the company is interested in Thunder Bay because they are always looking for communities that have great people, positive energy and want to work together to ensure success, and they believe they found those qualities in Thunder Bay.

OLS is working with the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) to explore this business expansion in Thunder Bay. For more information or to apply online, visit www.JoinOLS.com.
