Olympic Torch on Display at City Hall

February 9, 2010 – An authentic Olympic Torch used in the cross-Canada Olympic Torch Relay is now on display in the lobby of City Hall. Residents are invited to come and see the Torch up close and take photos with it.

The Torch was gifted to Mayor Lynn Peterson and the City of Thunder Bay from the Vancouver Olympic Committee during the Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on Jan. 3.

The Torch’s solid wood display unit was made by Chris Clark, a retired Thunder Bay firefighter.
