Water System Operates as Designed

September 10, 2008 – The City's Emergency Operations Control Group was called together at 9 pm last evening to monitor an interruption at the Bare Point Water Treatment Plant and adjourned at 11:36 pm when the situation was resolved.

"The water supply system operated as designed to sustain safe water and adequate water pressure for the city," said John Husiak, Acting General Manager – Transportation & Works.

The interruption took place during scheduled computer software updates, which will be tested further, before installation.
