Public Notice of Surplus Lands


PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay, at its meeting held on Monday, October 29, 2012, declared surplus to the City's requirements pursuant to the City's policies, the following properties;

  • (A79) The City’s lane between 1517 Woodward Avenue and 1516 Euclid Avenue  abutting Lots 10 to 12, Block N, Registered Plan W196, containing an area of approximately 97.54 m2 or 1,049.91 ft2,  be sold (once closed) to the abutting property owner of 1517 Woodward Avenue, for lot enlargement purposes at appraised market value ($6,250.50);
  • (A80) The City’s vacant (landlocked) property located at 1003 and 1005 Stapleton Street, Lot 280, Registered Plan W379 and Lot 279, Registered Plan W379, containing an area of approximately 574 m2 or 6,198.8 ft2, be sold together (once closed) to the abutting property owner of 1001 Stapleton Street, for lot enlargement purposes at appraised market value ($18,000.00);
  • (C162) The City’s lane between 551 and 545 Memorial Ave abutting Lots 20 to 24, and part of Lots 43 and 44, Block 11, being Part 2 on Registered Plan 55R-4168, (previously closed by By-Law 226603), containing an area of approximately110.05 m2 or 1,184.57 ft2, be sold to the abutting property owner of 551 and 545 Memorial Avenue, for lot enlargement purposes at appraised market value ($9,476.32);
  • (C163) The City’s lane between 115 Heron Street and 525 Simpson Street abutting Lot 38, Lots 1 to 4 and Part of Lot 5, Block 11, Registered Plan W54, containing an area of approximately 211 m2 or 2,279 ft2, be sold (once closed) to the abutting property owner of 115 Heron Street and 525 Simpson Street, for lot enlargement purposes at appraised market value ($10,257.00);
  • (C164) The City’s lane abutting 250 May Street North and 330 Bethune Street abutting Lot 16 and Lots 33 to 38, Block G, Registered Plan W62, containing an area of approximately 165.65m2 or 1793.04 ft2, (once closed) be sold to the abutting property owner of 250 May Street North, for lot enlargement purposes at appraised market value of $4,200.00, less discount afforded to non-profit organizations pursuant to Policy 09-04-65 for Corporate Land-Related Financial Assistance;
