Book of Condolences to People of Norway Opened at City Hall

July 28, 2011 – A Book of Condolences has been opened at Thunder Bay City Hall to allow community members to pay their respects to the families of the victims and to the people of Norway so affected by the recent tragedy.

“Thunder Bay and the entire world mourn with the families of the victims and the people of Norway at this time of terrible tragedy,” said Mayor Keith Hobbs who signed the Book of Condolences this morning as it was opened to the public.

The Book of Condolences will be available for signing in the lobby of City Hall, 500 Donald St. East, today, Friday, July 29, and from Tuesday to Friday, Aug. 2 to 5, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The Book with its messages will be forwarded to the Norwegian Ambassador to Canada.
