City’s 2012 Report to the Community Presented and Now Available

June 24, 2013 – The 2012 Annual Report to the Community was presented at the Committeee of the Whole meeting this evening. The Report provides an overview of the City’s accomplishments in the areas of ‘A Prosperous and More Diversified Economy’, ‘Lifestyle and a High Quality of Life’, ‘Environment: A Cleaner, Greener, More Beautiful and Proud Thunder Bay’, and ‘Governance – Working to be Recognized as a Best-Run City’.

“2012 was a key year in the transformation of Thunder Bay,” said Mayor Keith Hobbs. “We are working hard to create the future we all want – a Thunder Bay that is connected, healthy, vibrant and strong. The Report packages an incredible year into something that easily communicates our City’s many accomplishments.”

“Despite the May 28 Flood, we made great strides towards our strategic goals, delivered projects, improved citizen services and our corporate performance, and increased investment in our infrastructure. When I look at the Report and all that was accomplished, I am very proud.”

“We are making excellent progress on investing in infrastructure renewal,” said City Manager Tim Commisso. “Thunder Bay is definitely transforming and growing based on a more diversified economy.”
