Culture Days at Prince Arthur’s Landing

September 27, 2012 – Artists, businesses and community groups throughout Thunder Bay are showing their love of Culture this weekend by providing FREE, hands-on, interactive cultural activities at the 3rd annual Culture Days at Prince Arthur’s Landing.

A perfect way to celebrate the change of season from summer to fall, Prince Arthur’s Landing will be a hub of activity offering the behind-the-scenes world of artists, creators, and historians. Culture Days is a national celebration of culture that began in 2010 to raise awareness, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.

The weekend will also feature the last streams of water from the splash pad and water wall for this year, which will be marked by the premier of a new digital art piece by local artists, Mark Nisenholt and Aris Carastathis.  The water features will be closed for the season at the end of the day Sunday. The splash pad will be ready for winter skating in November.

The Baggage Building Arts Centre at Prince Arthur’s Landing opens at 12 noon daily throughout the Culture Days weekend.
