Multiplex Open House Available Through Live Video Stream

May 6, 2010 – The Open House/Community Workshop on a proposed Thunder Bay Multipurpose Event Centre taking place tonight at The DaVinci Centre will be available through a live video stream at www.netnewsledger.com for residents who can’t attend. Starting tomorrow, a link to the video of the Open House along with a survey will also be available at www.thunderbay.ca/RenewTBay to give residents another opportunity to give their input.

The City is looking for citizens’ views, comments and suggestions on key questions and to discuss success criteria for a proposed Multipurpose Event Centre. Comments provided before June 4 will be included in a report to City Council.

"This request for early input will help set the stage for the detailed feasibility study," said Mayor Lynn Peterson. "We want to involve citizens before designing the terms of reference of the study so that it is responsive to their needs and incorporates their questions and suggestions."
