Register Now for Go Green Expo

September 21, 2011 – EarthWise®* Thunder Bay announced on Monday, Sept. 19 that registration packages for Go Green Expo’s workshops and keynote lunch address are now available. The 2nd Annual Go Green Expo: a Green Living Event for Everyone will run on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This annual event brings environmentally friendly living ideas to the citizens of Thunder Bay and region – ideas to help everyone make choices that are good for our health, our pocketbooks and the environment.
Registration for the three Expo workshops is now open. Register on-line at by clicking on the “Go Green” link, or call 807-625-2411 and have a package emailed to you. The Morning Workshops cost $15 per person, or two can attend  for $20; attendance at the Afternoon Workshop is free. Space is limited so register early. Experts will offer in-depth workshops on: Root Cellaring & Canning, Extending Our Growing Season, and Time of Use Energy Savings.

Go Green is not just about workshops! Listen to keynote speaker Betsy Rosenberg, an award-winning national broadcast journalist and a green media trailblazer. Betsy will share her amazing knowledge about how can we lead productive and satisfying lives while providing for a sustainable future, including eco-tips and personal choices that can make a critical difference, at Saturday’s keynote address and local foods lunch, entitled “How To Green Your Routine And Why It Matters!”.
Between Saturday’s workshops, visit the more than 40 vendors. Vendors will showcase green activities and businesses, new business ideas, local foods and an interactive Childrens’ Area featuring activities on energy, nature, and sustainability. Admission to exhibits is free.
