Stuff the Bus, Feed the Need

December 4, 2012 –  Thunder Bay Transit, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 966, and the Thunder Bay Food Bank are teaming up to spread goodwill in our community with the 18th Annual Santa Bus food drive.

From Tuesday, Dec. 4 until Friday, Dec. 14, the community is invited to drop-off dry goods for the Thunder Bay Food Bank on any City bus, at any time. To find out when a bus is coming to a stop near you, go to www.nextbus.com or call 684-3744.

The Santa Bus will also be available for donations at the Fort William Road Walmart entrance on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 5-10 pm, and on Friday, Dec. 14 from 5-10 pm.

Santa Bus in aid of the Thunder Bay Food Bank is an opportunity for Transit employees to bring joy and happiness to others this holiday season.

Thunder Bay Food Bank supplies emergency help to people in need, and when possible, helps other organizations with food supply.  The need is always greater in the winter and especially over the holidays.

The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 966 and Thunder Bay Transit has served the community of Thunder Bay with safe, reliable, economical, and eco-friendly Transit service for 120 years.
