Teddy Bear Picnic in the Park

July 6, 2012 – The City of Thunder Bay will be holding the 29th Annual Teddy Bears Picnic on Tuesday, July 10, at Vickers Park.

Children, parents and teddy bears are invited for an afternoon of free crafts, activities and entertainment featuring Doug Barr from Perth, ON, as well as The Grumpy Grandpas from Thunder Bay!

“Kids won’t want to miss the Teddy Bear Parade,” said Doug Henry, Events Supervisor. “Children are invited to join in a sing-along while they parade around the park with their teddy bears. It’s so much fun for everyone involved.”

The Boo Boo Bear Station will also be open again for much loved teddy bears to receive a band-aid or stitching to make them feel brand new again. Community groups and businesses will also be on-site to provide crafts and activities for kids to enjoy.

The Picnic will begin at 12 noon, and run until 3 pm. Admission is free. In the event of rain, the picnic will be moved indoors to the Delaney Arena.
