Policies & By-laws
City Council governs by establishing policies and enacting by-laws.
Policies
City Council provides direction to Administration by establishing policies that govern the affairs of the Corporation. Visit the Policies and Procedures database to look for documents by topic. By-Laws
City Council passes by-laws, or municipal laws or ordinances, under authority from the Province of Ontario. The Province authorizes what things can be regulated by the municipality.
