City Council recognizes citizens whose efforts contribute significantly to making Thunder Bay a better place to live, work, visit and raise families. April is Civic Pride Month and at this time awards are presented or announced for the fall. The City of Thunder Bay is also recognized as an Award-Winning City.
These awards honour individuals, organizations and groups who actively create neighbourhoods or communities where people feel a sense of belonging and responsibility. The Spirit of Thunder Bay, Good Citizen and Youth Awards are presented annually. The Sport and Culture Awards are presented monthly at a special City Council meeting. MORE

enhance the image of the city through public art, beautification, heritage and environmental

The City of Thunder Bay, in conjunction with the Thunder Bay Horticultural Society, recognizes business, industry and homeowner efforts that beautify our city.
The City of Thunder Bay, in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Westfort, recogizes beautification and neighbourhood pride of a City block or street.
