Joe Virdiramo, Councillor for the Westfort Ward, is a retired Educator with a Master of Education Degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lakehead University.

His background as a Teacher, Principal, Superintendent and Director, gave him training and experience not only in education, but also in recruitment/selection procedures, employment equity, program development, training & development, performance evaluation, and personnel research. He also gained a great deal of experience and political expertise while serving as Executive Assistant to the Honourable Joe Comuzzi, MP.

Councillor Virdiramo says he is dedicated to the quality of life in Thunder Bay and the Region. He is a member of the Port Arthur Italian Cultural Society, DaVinci Centre, and Westfort Community Centre.

He wants to dedicate his time and skills to do the things that he believes needs to be done. He says he is dedicated to working as a team with the rest of City Council, and committed to being accessible to the residents of the Westfort Ward, and the citizens of Thunder Bay as a whole.
