Councillor Trevor Giertuga McIntyre Ward

Hello, my name is Trevor Giertuga and I am proud to be the Councillor for the McIntyre Ward. I am a life-long resident of Thunder Bay and third generation resident of the McIntyre Ward. I have two wonderful children - Travis, age 11 and Madison, age 8. I presently work as a Registered Nurse at the Thunder Bay District Jail, and previously owned a small business in the McIntyre Ward.
This is my third term on City Council, and I am pleased to be able to work not only for the residents of the McIntyre Ward, but all of the City. I serve on the Thunder Bay Hydro Board and I am currently the Committee of the Whole Chairman of Planning.
I firmly believe in being accessible and accountable to my constituents. I achieve this through regular ward meetings that are hosted at different community centres around our large and diverse Ward. I encourage everyone to come out and voice his or her concerns at these forums. These meetings allow me to give the rationale and background for decisions made by City Council and to receive your input on upcoming issues.
