Auctions & Surplus Sales
The City of Thunder Bay sells surplus equipment, supplies and auctions off unclaimed bicycles during the year.
Police Bike Auction
A Police Auction is held each spring and fall at the Balmoral Street Police Station for the sale of unclaimed bicycles and other items.
Annual Surplus Auction
A public auction is held in September of each year for the sale of surplus assets from The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay. Items usually include vehicles, office furniture and miscellaneous items.
All items are sold on an "As Is --- Where Is" basis. Terms of the sale are cash, approved cheques or Visa.
