E-WASTE RECYCLING EVENT WITH TBAYTEL
Save your unwanted electronic components for proper recycling. Drop off will occur on Friday May 31, Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2 at the Tbaytel location at 1046 Lithium Drive. Visit the link below for hours and a list of acceptable items. This event supports PRO Kids.

THUNDER BAY TRIATHALON
We are happy to annouce the revival of this community event on Sunday July 28th at Boulevard Lake. This year's proceeds will be designated to P.R.O. Kids. You can attend as an athlete or a spectator. Visit the link to find out more.

RBC WOMEN'S TEE OFF FOR CHILDREN
Watch for the upcoming 2013 Women's golf tournament. Proceeds to be divided between P.R.O. Kids and Children's Centre Thunder Bay. Many Thanks to RBC for sponsoring this event.
Mayor's mulligan
Will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Strathcona Golf Course. PRO Kids thanks the United Way for sponsoring this event, all the local businesses who donate items for the Silent Auction, and all the vounteers that help to make this event such a success.

DO OR DIVE
P.R.O. Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club teamed up to host a fundraising event that sent local celebrities and bosses off the towers at the Canada Games Complex. The event was held on Friday November 9th with 20 participants jumping in support of kids in our community. Congratulations to the Thunder Bay Diving Club on the celebration of their 30th Anniversary! Watch for the next event on Nov. 8th, 2013.

Mac's Family skate in support of pro kids
Our Thanks to Mac's Convenience Stores for Supporting the Family Skate on Friday March 15th at the Fort William Gardens! LU Thunderwolves and Wolfie attended. It was an evening of family fun while supporting PRO Kids.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer work available through P.R.O. Kids - assisting with administrative and organizational tasks. P.R.O. Kids facilitates placing children in community programs that are run by other organizations, but does not actually interact with the children we support.
Fall Placement Support
Over half of the applications received in one year arrive in the fall. This is an especially busy time for the P.R.O. Kids Coordinator. Extra support is needed in order to place children into fall programs in a timely fashion. This is a short-term volunteer position involving 20 hours a week for four weeks beginning mid-August and ending in mid-September. Interested? Call the P.R.O. Kids Coordinator at 625-3212.
Event Planning
On occasion, larger-scale events are scheduled, and the P.R.O. Kids Coordinator requires additional support. These are short-term in nature to assist in the planning relating to one specific event (e.g., Family Skating Events, Mayor’s Mulligan). Interested in helping? Call the P.R.O. Kids Coordinator at 625-3212.

P.R.O. Kids Board of Directors
The P.R.O. Kids Board Members are residents of the City of Thunder Bay and represent a wide range of interests and expertise. For more information, refer to the Board page.
P.R.O. Kids Fundraising Committee
This is a very active group that meets once a month. Members oversee fundraising through activities & events, dress-down days, merchandise sales, and direct approaches, as well as grants and funding opportunities.
