100% of Thunder Bay Transit's buses have access features that make boarding and riding easier for those with disabilities or the elderly. The fleet's low floor fully accessible buses accommodate wheelchairs.
Inclusion Services
The Recreation & Culture Division encourages people of all abilities and skills to take part in the City's recreation programs. Inclusion Services provides limited free support from facilitators and volunteers to people with disabilities who use our programs and facilities. Junior Inclusion Services provides similar support to year round and summer recreation and culture programs for children and youth. Homemaking Services
Limited homemaking services are provided when required in homes throughout the City of Thunder Bay where there is a need related illness, crisis situations, or emergency care is required. Medical certification must be provided. All applicants must first apply to the Community Care Access Centre.Ontario Works
