parks The City is proud to maintain a large acreage of open spaces for the pleasure and recreation of the community. The Parks & Open Spaces Section is responsible for 124 parks throughout the City. Included are Prince Arthur's Landing at Marina Park on the lakefront; Chippewa Park with its amusement rides and Wildlife Park, Centennial Park with a full-scale replica 1910 logging camp; Boulevard Lake Park, a cool retreat on a hot summer day; and Hillcrest Park with its Sunken Gardens. Waverley Park features a beautiful antique fountain, and Centennial Park offers tobogganing and cross country skiing in winter.
