parks The City is proud to maintain a large acreage of open spaces for the pleasure and recreation of the community. The Parks Division is responsible for 124 parks throughout the City. Included are Marina Park on the lakefront; Chippewa Park with its amusement rides and Wildlife Park, Centennial Park with a full scale replica 1910 logging camp, Boulevard Lake Park, a cool retreat on a hot summer day, and Hillcrest Park with its Sunken Gardens. Waverley Park features a beautiful antique fountain, and Centennial Park offers sleigh rides, tobogganing, and cross country skiing in winter.
