Snow
The City's Roads Division is responsible for maintaining a safe and passable road and sidewalk network within the City. The Roads Division uses a fleet of snowplows and ice control vehicles to clear snow from roads and reduce the effects of icy road conditions. A priority based system is used to schedule the plowing and sanding of roads and sidewalks. Priority routes are determined by road classification based on traffic volumes, speed limits, parking restrictions, road characteristics (i.e. hills) and use (Transit routes).Infrastructure & Operations
