The Go Green Expo - Green Living for Everyone!
This annual EarthWise® event invites Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario residents to learn new ways to make their homes and workplaces more eco-friendly, while saving money and helping the environment.
The Go Green Expo is a project of the EarthWise® Education Working Group, through a partnership with the City of Thunder Bay, and is coordinated by a volunteer Planning Committee Chaired by one of our EarthWise® volunteer members. The goal of the Expo is to raise awareness of EarthWise® and the Community Environmental Action Plan, and to provide people with tips, information and resources on how to reduce their carbon footprints and embrace a sustainable and green lifestyle.
Featuring a Free Exhibition of everything locals need to live in “greener” and more self-sufficient ways, a special focus on two of the EarthWise® working group project areas is chosen every year by the Planning Committee. In addition to the Expo, there is typically a series of Workshops and a Keynote Address for which registration is required. In the past, the Event has also included tours of City Facilities and Community Partner Organizations.
With everything from tips on how to make your home or business more eco-friendly and energy efficient, to presentations from local eco heroes, the Expo promises to offer something for everyone who is making changes both big and small to reduce their carbon footprint and help the environment. We hope to see you there next year!
