Herb Carroll 55 Plus Centre
Located on the south side of Thunder Bay near the intersection of Arthur and Vickers Streets,the Herb Carroll 55 Plus Centre offers recreational and educational programs along with valuable services.
The building is operated by the City of Thunder Bay and is co-operatively managed by a senior volunteer Board of Directors and the Recreation & Culture Division. Together we work to provide a variety of stimulating,interesting and informative opportunities for everyone 55 plus.

Operating Hours
For your enjoyment,the Centre is open five days a week.
Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Holiday Closures
The Centre closes for all stat holidays.
Instructional Programs
Quality programming is offered seasonally with sessions running for one to twelve weeks. Fitness courses include fitness,tai chi and yoga. Visual arts include oil,acrylic, watercolour and workshops. Computer lessons for beginners and to learn to use the Internet are also provided. Check our program schedule.
Drop-In Activities
Activities charge a nominal fee and are "Pay As You Play". Most activities take place every day,all year round,unless stated otherwise. All the daily activities are run by senior volunteer convenors.
Is there a membership fee to join the Herb Carroll 55 Plus Centre?
There is no fee to join the centre. There may be a fee for a registered program or service.
Do you have to be a resident of McIvor Court to attend the Herb Carroll 55 Plus Centre?
No you do not have to be a resident of McIvor Court to attend. All residents of Thunder Bay can enjoy the programs,services and special events offered at the Centre. The Herb Carroll 55 Plus Centre is attached to McIvor Court,an apartment complex for older adults.
