THUNDER BAY 55 PLUS CENTRE, 700 River Street

The following is a list of clubs and groups that meet at our Centre. There may be a nominal drop-in fee or a club membership fee to participate.  These groups operate independent of the centre.

Northwestern Ontario Senior Citizens Amateur Radio Club

New members are welcome. You must be age 55 plus, but you do not need a radio license to join this club. Sundays from 2-5 pm is a popular time to get together at the station.

Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 7 pm, Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre, 700 River Street.

SENIOR SOCIAL & FIX-IT CLUB

Senior Men's Fix-It ClubThis club offers a full woodworking shop for men and women for a minimal annual membership fee. The Club provides low-cost in-shop repairs and services to older adults or people with disabilities in the City of Thunder Bay. The Fix-It Club hosts a number of fund raising activities throughout the year to maintain existing equipment or purchase new equipment. 

Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month, 10 am, Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre, 700 River Street. To learn more, drop in to the monthly meetings or for more information, please call 346-9309. Fix-It Club members are welcome to use the shop Mondays to Saturdays, 9 am - 4 pm.  Membership is required.
