How To Register

Registration is quick and easy. You can register for Older Adult programs by telephone, or in-person. You can also get support if you are a person with a disability who would like to participate. For all other general registration information see below.

TELEPHONE REGISTRATION



Avoid the line-up and register by calling the Registration Hotline: 625-8463.

We now also have a toll-free number for anyone calling from out-of-town:  1-844-288-4700



The hotline operates 24 hours a day. If a registration agent is not available, your call will be forwarded to a voice mail machine. Payment is required at the time of registration.



To register by telephone you will need:

  • Course name and code number
  • The name of the registrant
  • Address and postal code
  • Registrant's date of birth
  • Phone numbers (day and evening if different)
  • Emergency contact information
  • Visa or MasterCard number and expiry date

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, Debit or Visa/MasterCard.



DROP-OFF/MAIL-IN REGISTRATION

Drop off your completed registration form with payment to any of the in-person registration facilities: Victoriaville Centre, Sir Winston Churchill Community Pool, Volunteer Pool, Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre, or Canada Games Complex. Please write your course number on your cheque.

All mail-in registrations must be received one week prior to the start of the program. Please indicate a second choice in the event that your first choice is not available. You can pay by cheque, money order, or Visa/MasterCard.

PERSONS WITH A DISABILITY REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Recreation should be available and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. Information and support is provided to assist people with a disability to participate in recreation activities. For more information call 625-2930 or the TTY Relay Service at 711. Audio cassette recordings of Recreation & Culture programs listed in The Key are available by calling 625-2930.



GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Most programs have limited registration done on a first-come basis. Payment in full, by cheque, must accompany registration.

Write the course code, course name, and location on the back of your registration cheque.

It is our belief that you will enjoy your program with the Older Adult Unit, but if the program does not meet your needs, please refer to our refund policy.



Refund Policy

If not completely satisfied, speak to the Program & Marketing Coordinator, 684-2795, BEFORE the second class to receive a FULL refund. Refunds granted after the second class are pro-rated. Medical certificates may be required. No refunds after mid-point of programs.



Confirmation of Enrolment

Once you are registered, you will not hear from us. Simply attend the first class. If your first choice is not available, you are notified at time of registration. Receipts will be given with in-person registrations. Receipts will be available from the instructors at the first class if you register by telephone.



Subsidization

The Older Adult Unit has a policy to assist people who wish to participate in its instructional programs. If you require assistance with program fees, you must contact the Program & Marketing Coordinator, Older Adult Unit, 684-2795, prior to registration. This policy only applies to registered programs directly administered by the Older Adult Unit.
