Health & Wellness Programs and Services

Health & Wellness services and presentations are coordinated in partnership with various community organizations such as:  Diabetes Health Thunder Bay, Canadian Hearing Society, Thunder Bay District Health Unit, and Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), among others.

Blood Pressure Clinics Monthly 1st Wednesday of the month 10 am-12pm Excludes July & August 
Hearing Screening Testing Monthly  2nd Wednesday of the month  1 - 2 pm  Excludes July & August
Health Matters Presentations Monthly  1st Thursday of the month  1 pm           
Good Food Box Monthly 1st Thursday of the month  11am - 1pm Place & pay for your order
Good Food Box Monthly 2nd Last Thursday of the Month 3:30pm Pick-up your order.

Health Matters Presentations
 focus on health & wellness issues and information relevant to people 55 plus. The program is held the first Thursday of the month. Some topics have included: Diabetes information, Managing Arthritis, Dealing With Grief And Loss, Medication Misuse, Fraud Prevention, Osteoporosis, Home Safety, etc. If you are interested in doing a health-related presentation, contact the Support Services Co-ordinator.

The Annual Health and Wellness Expo is held in April. Over 40 organizations are involved showcasing various health businesses, services and organizations.
