VOLUNTEERS OF THE THUNDER BAY FOOD BANK

The Thunder Bay Food Bank is a 100% volunteer-run not-for-profit organization that provides food for no charge to the hungry in the city. The Food Bank is able to operate solely through the generous contributions of food and money from the citizens of Thunder Bay. Currently, the Food Bank serves approximately 900 people per month. There are 40 active volunteers who donate their time to repackage, shelve, sort and distribute food, as well as collect donations, participate in food drives and assist with fundraising campaigns. Without the ongoing commitment and dedication of these volunteers, the Thunder Bay Food Bank would not be able to continue to provide a very valuable service to help the hungry in our city.
