CATHERINE WALLACE
Catherine has been volunteering in our community for 69 years, predominantly in the field of music. She began singing in choirs as a child and still continues today at the young age of 85. She was choir director for St Andrew’s Church throughout the 1960’s and choir director for funerals starting in 1988. Although her eyesight is deteriorating, she continues to sing using large print or memorizing most songs. Catherine has found time to volunteer with other groups including Corpus Christi choir, Catholic Women’s League (a recipient of their 60-year pin), Interlink Choir and The Saints singing choir. In addition, she is a life member of the Auxiliary to St. Joseph’s Care Group. Catherine has made a significant volunteer contribution to our community.
