The building located at 170 Algoma Street North has many notable architectural features. The exterior walls consist of stone, brick, cedar shakes and stucco. The exterior side walls of the second floor arch away from the wall as the roof nears the top of the first floor. The roof has a cross gabled design with unique eaves. There is also a variety of window designs on the building including the large front bay windows which were added in 1985.
