Rutledge-Evans Block

124 May Street South
Constructed: 1914
Architect: J.C. Stinson

This brick business block makes a minimal use of stone for windowsills and a row of dentils under the cornice. There is also a stone string course between the second and third floors. The arches around the second-storey windows were created with raised brick. The ground floor was originally occupied by businesses and remains so today, while the upper floors are apartments.
