Canada Day on the Waterfront is Thunder Bay's biggest annual one-day event. Programming runs from 5 - 11 pm, culminating in the area's biggest fireworks display. The City of Thunder Bay is proud to announce that bilingual trio Ten Strings And A Goat Skin will be the mainstage headliners! The Power of Ideas Tour will be on site, with interactive activities designed to inspire, excite and engage everyone in the magic of science. The tour includes the Actua's Maker Mobile, where you will have the unique opportunity to learn how to create and prototype using design software, and watch their inventions come to life with 3D printers and laser cutters.

Science North's bluecoats will be on site as well, with Out of This World! It's three tents full of activities and learning about space - including an Astronaut Test!

Visit Rites of Passage in their Teaching Lodge in the Spirit Garden - join the multicultural, multigenerational dialogue in the lodge.

Please note that Marina Park will be closed to vehicle traffic on Canada Day. We encourage everyone to take the free Thunder Bay Transit shuttles, which will run from Intercity Shopping Centre and the 55+ Centre on River St. down to Marina Park and back.
