Thunder Bay's Largest Annual Fireworks Show!

GETTING TO THE SITE

  • Water Street will be CLOSED from 12 pm to 12 midnight
  • NO Parking in Marina Park on July 1
  • PARK n' RIDE on the FREE shuttle bus to Marina Park (4:30 pm to 12:30 am) from:
    • Community Auditorium (1 Paul Shaffer Drive)
    • Intercity Shopping Centre (1000 Fort William Road) - Zellers parking lot, across street from Canadian Tire gas bar
    • Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre (700 River Street)
  • Free Parking available in the Heart of the Harbour Parkade (18 N. Court Street) on July 1
  • Thunder Bay Transit is operating on Sunday service schedule. Transit service will run until 12:00 am to accommodate the Canada Day celebrations. View the Transit webpage for bus schedules.
  • Accessible Parking: Go over the Marina Park Overpass and turn left into the Park (towards Lake Superior). Parking Permit for Disabled required. Limited space is available.

FIREWORKS

Begin around 11 pm

Parking

  • There will be no parking in Marina Park on July 1 
  • Free parking is available at the Heart of the Harbour Parkade (18 N. Court Street) on July 1
  • Please use the FREE shuttle buses from the three community locations

What to Bring

  • Lawn chair(s) or blanket(s)
  • Sunscreen and hat
  • An umbrella! - This event is "rain or shine"    
  • Cash as no debit or credit cards will be accepted on site
  • Show Your Canadian Spirit! Wear Red & White on Canada Day! Bring flags or wear shirts or hats sporting the maple leaf!

Road Closure

Water Street will be CLOSED from 12 pm to 12 midnight.
