Equipment
Event organizers can access various equipment items (i.e. sound system, walkie-talkie radios, flags, megaphones) at no charge from the City of Thunder Bay Recreation & Culture Division. Contact Event Services to reserve items.
City of Thunder Bay Grant Funding
The Event Development Grant provides seed funding for groups hosting championships, first-time tournaments and festivals. Bidding expenses are also eligible. The Street Event Grant assists community groups staging sport tourism events taking place on City streets. Contact Event Services to ensure your group's eligibility or to answer any questions.
Event Calendar
List your event in the City's comprehensive listing of sports championships, festivals and other major events that appears on the Event Calendar page. Choose 'Post an Event' from the menu on the left. Selected events also appear in other publications.
Training & Networking
Workshops and networking events are provided for event organizers on topics such as sponsorship, media relations, fund-raising and marketing. Our next workhop is the "Going for Gold!" Event Sponsorship Workshop being held Wednesday, March 31, 2010. more

'Sports Central' Display Units
Three "pull-up" City of Thunder Bay display units featuring the 'Sports Central' theme are available for use at presentations, media conferences and indoor events. To reserve, call 625-2149.
Recycling Bins
The City of Thunder Bay, through Recool Canada Inc. will provide events with a portable recycling depot trailer or bins (4 foot square). A total of 10 bins are available at no charge. Contact Recool Canada Inc. at 577- 0411 to reserve the trailer and/or bins a minimum of two weeks in advance.
Bus Service
Thunder Bay Transit offers bus charters/tours within the City of Thunder Bay for groups and special events. The rate is $70 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours. It is recommended to make arrangements at least one month in advance. For events that bring people into Thunder Bay, groups are invited to apply for courtesy bus passes. Call 684-2190 for details.
Stage Cover Tents
The City has stage cover tents that can be rented. For information on fees and availability please call 625-2305.

City of Thunder Bay Souvenirs
City of Thunder Bay souvenirs are available for purchase at the Office of the City Clerk (3rd Floor - City Hall). Items include: lapel pins, mugs, flags and stickers. Please note: City plates are a presentation item to mark significant milestones and are not available for purchase. Contact the Office of the City Clerk at 625-2230 for more details.
