Facilities
The City of Thunder Bay is proud to maintain a variety of recreation facilities for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.
We operate:
- six indoor arenas including the Fort William Gardens that seats 4,690 persons for major sporting events, ice shows, concerts, conventions, trade shows, circuses and other large events
- 124 parks throughout the City, including an Off-Leash Dog Park for our canine friends
- three outdoor and two indoor swimming pools
- 13 Community Centres
- two 55+ adult centres
- a Tennis Centre
- three golf courses
- seven skateboard & bmx parks
- two campgrounds, and
- the Canada Games Complex

Parks Division
The following equipment is available for a fee, with the exception of refuse containers. Availability is subject to scheduling and to personnel. The Parks Division will determine the costs for delivery, set up, rental and return delivery.

Baseball diamonds
The City of Thunder Bay Parks Division can provide information about baseball diamonds operated by the city and other organizations. City ball diamonds, soccer fields, football fields, tennis courts and parks can be booked for special events subject to availability. A minimum of one week lead time is required.
