The City of Thunder Bay, through its Infrastructure & Operations Department and Community & Emergency Services Department and City partners, provides diverse facilities for sports. Just select your sport from the alphabetical list below and follow the links.

Baseball
Baseball is very popular in Thunder Bay. Check our Baseball Diamonds page for a diamond in your neighbourhood.

Many league games are played at Baseball Central, located between Central Avenue and Harbourview Expressway on Baseball Diamond Driveway. See also our Baseball Stadiums/Parks page.

Basketball
Many Thunder Bay Parks and Community Centres have basketball facilities. Check our Basketball Courts page.

Curling
Cycling Beside Boulevard LakeCurling is a fun way to get needed exercise. Check our Curling page for links to local curling facilities.

Cycling
Thunder Bay's network of recreational trails offers safe cycling through scenic parkland. The City has also recently added Bike Lanes to some of its major thoroughfares. See our Active Transportation page for maps & more info.

Golf
The City of Thunder Bay operates three golf courses: Chapples, Strathcona and Municipal. Check our Golf pages for more info and opening times.

Jogging
For jogging in the great outdoors, try Thunder Bay's scenic network of recreational trails. For indoor jogging, the Canada Games Complex features a 280-metre indoor jogging track.

Skating
Thunder Bay is a skater's haven! The City boasts both indoor arenas and a wide array of outdoor rinks/skating ponds. Check Arena Public Skate Times and Outdoor Rink Locations & Times.

Squash
You will find four international-size squash courts at the Canada Games Complex.

Swimming
The Canada Games Complex features a 77-metre indoor pool and a fun swirlpool. Outdoor swimming is available seasonally at Thunder Bay's various Pools, Splashpads and Beaches.

Tennis
The newly renovated Thunder Bay Tennis Centre offers nine plexi-pave hard courts, of which six are lit for night play. The facility features a clubhouse with air conditioning and television, pro shop, locker room and showers.

Weightlifting/Fitness
The Canada Games Complex boasts three Multi-Training Areas, with exercise stations that include steppers, bicycles, rowing ergometers, treadmills, Nordic Track, elliptical trainers, recumbent exercise bikes, Treadwall climbing, hand ergometer, universal gym and ACCESS integrated upper-body conditioning equipment. The Complex also features a 2,400 sq. ft. weight room with Cybex training equipment, free weights and cable-driven weights.
