Facility Attendants at Marina Park, Water Garden Pavilion

Part time positions are available for outgoing and enthusiastic Facility Attendants at Marina Park. Candidates are required to oversee the operation of the Water Garden Pavilion and seasonal Skating Rink/Splash Pad as well as be able to work daytime, evenings and weekend hours. Qualifications include a Secondary School Diploma, Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification, demonstrated customer service skills and must undergo a successful police records check, Type 2. Enthusiastic, qualified fitness instructors needed to lead a variety of fitness programs on a part-time basis. Junior Inclusion Services (JIS) offers an exciting summer employment opportunity if you are interested in working with children/youth with disabilities in recreation programs. JIS facilitates the inclusion of children and youth with disabilities in the Child and Youth summer programs of Playgrounds Program, Chippewa Summer Camps, Youth Move, Kidventures and Canada Games Complex Adventurer’s Camp. The Playgrounds Program is an inclusive summer recreation program for children 5 - 12 years of age. There are 18 playground sites located throughout the city in the months of July and August. The Playgrounds Program consists of a variety of on-site activities in the area of sports, crafts, co-operative games, music and drama. Chippewa Summer Camps is an outdoor recreation program that focuses on fun, friendship and nature-based learning for children aged 5 to 13 years. Camps are operated during July and August at Chippewa Park and at satellite venues. Successful applicants will be highly motivated, enjoy working closely with children in an outdoor setting and possess excellent leadership skills. Applicants should have some knowledge and skills in a wide variety of camp program areas: games, crafts, sports, camping, nature interpretation and music. Summer Camps is a waterfront-based program so that applicants with Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard Service Certification will receive strong consideration.
