Playgrounds
The Playgrounds Program is an inclusive summer recreation program for children 5 - 12 years of age. There are 25 playground sites located throughout the city in the months of July and August.
The program consists of a variety of on-site activities in the area of sports, crafts, co-operative games, music and drama. Off-site special events are also scheduled throughout the summer.
Successful applicants will possess excellent leadership skills, be highly motivated, responsible and will enjoy working closely with children. Applicants should have a wide knowledge of various activities in the areas of sports, crafts, drama and music, and will be able to organize and lead groups of children in these activities.
These are challenging positions with excellent opportunities for leadership development and personal growth.
PLEASE NOTE: Several leaders will be chosen to attend Inclusion Training (J.I.S.) in order to facilitate children with special needs.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Current Standard First Aid and Level ‘C’ C.P.R. Certification
- Attendance at Staff Training (June 22 to June 26, 2009)
- High Five Quality Assurance Certification (Courses scheduled for March and June, 2009)
- A Police Records Check (Type 2) from the Thunder Bay Police Department is a condition of hiring for ages 18 and over
- 3 References required for ages under 18
